Bećirović: We will defend Bosnia and Herzegovina like the apple of our eye

BOSANSKA KRUPA, (Patria) - Addressing citizens in Bosanska Krupa, Denis Bećirović, candidate for the BiH Presidency member, stated that the independence, integrity and sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina are internationally guaranteed and that no agreements between other states can change that.

- I do not wish to interfere in relations between Serbia and Kosovo, but I want to clearly and loudly convey that no one should even think of threatening the indivisible and independent state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Our state is an internationally recognized state and cannot and will not be the subject of any political backroom deals. This is our homeland, and no agreements between neighboring states can change that. Let others trade as much as they want, but not a single inch of Bosnia and Herzegovina will ever again end up under a foreign boot or foreign rule.

This is neither the first nor the last time that neighboring states have shown territorial aspirations towards Bosnia and Herzegovina. No matter how much various forces in the past tried to subdue, divide and destroy Bosnia and Herzegovina, we, despite all of them, as an independent and sovereign state, are marking the 829th anniversary of the Charter of Kulin Ban. Our statehood is unquestionable - Bećirović emphasized.

Bećirović concluded his address with the words:

- There are those who dream of dividing our homeland. Dreams are all that remains for them. Even if one of them were to become a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina tomorrow, in reality they will still have to respect the laws of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. They will have to do their job within the framework of their duties prescribed by the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, just as all their predecessors had to do. Those who tried to act differently abruptly ended their careers or fled the country due to prosecution.

At the promotion of the book „The State of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Focus“, besides Dr. Denis Bećirović, the promoters Armin Halitović, Mr. Jasmin Emrić, Saša Magazinović, Nerkez Arifhodžić, Mr. Ferid Buljubašić, Assistant Professor Dr. Albin Muslić and Assistant Professor Dr. Benjamina Londrc also spoke.
