Bečarević: They promised to make Sarajevo a metropolis, and we have closed facilities, water rationing, and security like the Wild West

(Patria) - In "those" distant 2018, in December, a representative of Our Party was appointed Prime Minister of the Sarajevo Canton Government. From then until today, with one minor interruption, Our Party has held the position of Prime Minister of the KS Government, and the Trojka group has held the majority in KS governments since 2018, according to a statement from the president of the Cantonal Board of the Party for BiH, Almir Bečarević.

They promised progress for the City, unprecedented prosperity for the Canton, clean air, dozens of cranes, Bjelašnica as a world ski center, utility services that would shame Brussels, and so on... In short, as the current prime minister would say, we are building a metropolis in the image of world-renowned metropolises.

To show all our fellow citizens what kind of metropolis we have received, we have taken photographs (though they resemble obituaries) of business premises and spaces from Zlatarska Street to the SCC center, including part of the Skenderija center. All these facilities were operational in "those" distant 2018, and today they are out of use. The photographs of empty and abandoned facilities are the result of the "Sarajevo Metropolis" campaign, which is being "successfully" carried out by the KS prime ministers from Our Party, with the help of partners from Trojka.

An increasing number of facilities are closing in Sarajevo Canton (strict city center), we ranked 23rd as the most polluted city in the world, we are first in Europe for air pollution, not a single world-renowned fashion brand has opened its doors in KS, not a single chain of world-renowned hotels has opened its doors in KS, Bjelašnica managed to provide 20 days of skiing in the winter season, water rationing as if it were wartime, a security situation like the Wild West, etc.

With the way the Canton is currently managed, it will not take long for a "CLOSED" sign to be posted on almost every facility.

And yes, to be fair, we received new trams so that an increasing number of our older citizens (the Canton has the highest demographic growth in the over 60 age group+) can ride them. Young people go to Europe to use the metro, which seems to be a technological marvel, because we got our technological marvel more than 100 years ago.
