Former long-time director of BH-Gas, Almir Bečarević, has repeatedly warned both the company's management and the public that reductions in gas supplies would begin because this energy source is lacking in Sarajevo, writes the Patria news agency.
That the situation is exactly as Bečarević predicted is proven by today's statement from BH-Gas, in which they inform the public that gas supplies to our country have been reduced.
- According to my information, Sarajevo's heating plants have already switched to fuel oil. I have been talking about what will happen for two months, but no one in BH-Gas has batted an eye or reacted.
Payments from the cantons went to other purposes, and the gas was not paid for. The debt to Gazprom amounts to over 11 million US dollars. The next, worst-case scenario is that industrial consumers or citizens start being cut off, Bečarević warns again.
