Bečarević: Dodik goes empty-handed to Putin, talking about Russian gas and wanting to join the EU is a comedy!

(Patria) - Yesterday's meeting in East Sarajevo again offered the already empty story about three projects, the New Eastern Interconnection, the Southern Interconnection, and Buk Bijela, says Almir Bečarević, an expert in gas policy.

"Along with this garnish, the story about the Constitutional Court, the Election Law, etc. was also served.

The actors who control none of these projects and processes are talking. Three projects are under the direct jurisdiction of the BiH Presidency, and the processes for adopting laws are directly controlled by Bosniaks in the House of Peoples and the quorum they control.

All those present at the meeting are ignoring the fact that the BiH Presidency has sent the BiH Gas Law to the parliamentary procedure, and every gas interconnection is linked to the adoption of this law," points out Bečarević.

He further states that Dodik is trying to pressure partners from the FBiH to approve the New Eastern Interconnection project.

"Those from FBiH would give him approval, but in the style of an unsurpassed masochist, he forgets that the BiH Presidency is solely responsible for approving interstate agreements, and no one else.

At the same time, representatives from FBiH are not following developments on the TurkStream, the New Eastern is a branch from this project, and activities in the Bulgarian parliament where a tax on gas transport through TurkStream has been adopted. This tax, if it comes to life in its real amount, will burden the price of gas so much that regimes in Hungary and Serbia will be called into question. These are costs measured in billions of KM," warns Bečarević.

Once again, it is shown how much certain politicians do not follow developments around natural gas in our environment and talk about things they have no knowledge of.

"Talking about Russian gas and wanting to join the EU is a comedy worthy of the most famous theaters, and therefore it is not surprising that our actors have secure roles on the boards that mean life.

The fact that Dodik has long lacked this board is also the fact that he is trying to deliver the New Eastern Interconnection to Putin, which cannot pass as long as there are those who truly want the EU, and those are the members of the BiH Presidency from FBiH.

Therefore, Dodik will again travel to Russia empty-handed and without fulfilling the obligation that he will start building the New Eastern Interconnection. He can also go on his way with a song, when I go to Russia, five or six prosecutors will accompany me," added Bečarević.
