Baždarević ahead of Ireland: It's not important who, but how they play

Preparations for the BiH national team, which expects playoff matches against the Republic of Ireland for Euro 2016, have continued at the Training Centre in Zenica, writes the Patria News Agency.

Milan Đurić, BiH striker, said that Friday's match will be difficult because the Irish are of quality and are strong.

- We need to play as we did in the last few matches, to show our quality, and we can win. I play regularly at my club, if I get a chance, I will give my maximum, but the most important thing is to win. The last two matches were important for the national team and for me, I showed that I can be in the national team, thanks to the coach and the team because they were with me as if I had been here for 10 years – says Đurić.

Coach Mehmed Baždarević pointed out that there are many speculations and information about Ireland's lineup.

 It is up to us to prepare. We have seen everything, we have studied. We have arguments to achieve a good result. Those who are here are training and working. I am concentrating on us, it will be difficult, they are a quality team, their play gives them hope to go to the European Championship, but we also have arguments to go to the European Championship. We must have 25 players ready, and the most important thing is how they play, not who. Fighting spirit and desire will be very important, these are matches that are played once in a lifetime. Collective play, one team, and the desire to achieve an excellent result with a quality team, and I think we will outplay them – stated Baždarević.

Ibrahim Šehić, the goalkeeper, expects a good result and thinks it's good that we are playing the first match in Zenica.

- We need to achieve a good result here. We knew we had no right to make a mistake, we had to reach the playoffs, and we succeeded. No footballer likes to be a substitute, both Jasmin and I came to help Asmir and the national team. The Irish have a good coach and tactics, maybe they should have gone directly, they play similarly to Wales – said Šehić, and also commented on the appearance of the new jerseys.

- It doesn't matter how it looks, the important thing is that the BiH crest is on it – said Šehić.
