Baždarević after the defeat: We had to give more for the Euro

The coach of the national football team, Mehmed Baždarević, was disappointed after the defeat against Ireland, who are going to the 2016 European Championship, writes the BH News Agency Patria.

- We weren't strong and solid enough, especially in the first half when we failed to get out and confront them. Simply, we had to give much more to qualify for the Euro - said Baždarević.

Speaking about the penalty awarded to Ireland in the 24th minute, Baždarević said he would not seek an alibi in that.

- The penalty might have been awarded too harshly, and after that, our job became significantly harder. In matches like these, you have to give more; at this level, such mistakes cannot be made. This is a great disappointment for me. I feel sorry for the fans, for all of you. The referee was also bad, but I don't want to talk much about it - said Baždarević.
