Baščaršija Square in new guise, completion of works in December

Although the weather conditions are no longer the most favorable, the reconstruction works on Baščaršija Square are proceeding according to the given dynamics and 90% of the work has been completed so far, it was announced by the Municipality of Stari Grad.

For Saturday, the installation and assembly of a public lighting pole is planned, as well as the installation of a metal structure for an info-panel that will be placed on the square with historical data about the location, as well as all relevant information about the reconstruction project.

The info-panel will be permanently installed at this location. Simultaneously, the laying of stone slabs on the square continues, and platforms (canopies) have been erected under which work is being done to ensure the works proceed without hindrance.

The planned deadline for the completion of works in December will be met, provided this dynamic continues. 

The reconstruction works on Baščaršija Square, worth 1.2 million KM, are financed in equal proportions by the Municipality of Osmangazi from Turkey and the Municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo, and the implementer is TIKA.
