Barcelona beat Manchester United at Old Trafford for the first time, Ajax and Juventus draw

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The first leg of the Champions League quarterfinal between Manchester United and Barcelona was played at Old Trafford this evening, with the Spanish side winning 1-0.

Barcelona won with an own goal by Luke Shaw in the 12th minute. It was the first victory for the Spanish team at Old Trafford.

The Spaniards did not push forward in the remainder of the match, while Manchester, despite having the initiative, did not create a serious chance. They mostly attempted shots from distance.

In Amsterdam, Ajax and Juventus faced off, with the match ending 1-1.

The team from Turin took the lead with a goal from Ronaldo at the end of the first half, in which Ajax played very well and even created several chances, but without successful conversion.

Ajax's brave play paid off at the start of the second half, when Neres took advantage of the opponent's defensive lapse and equalised.

There were no goals from the 45th minute onwards, although Ajax, led by Tadić, constantly tried. On the other hand, the best impression was left by Douglas Costa, who came on in the 60th minute. In the closing stages, he hit the post after a brilliant run and several dribbles.

The return legs are scheduled in six days.
