Baralija: I still believe that Mostar can

(Patria) - Following the decision of High Representative Valentin Inzko to annul the first round of voting for the election of the Mayor of Mostar, one of the candidates for this position, Irma Baralija, also spoke out. At the beginning of her message, she apologised to media representatives because she was unable to respond to everyone or reply to messages.

-We understand that the OHR is the legal interpreter of our Statute, so their reaction after Friday's Council session and the conclusion on public voting was expected.

Whether the voting is public or secret, we have no problem saying who we give our trust to because our reasons are clear, based on facts and arguments. We still believe that a mayor from the BH Bloc would be not only the most qualified for this position but also the politically best option for Mostar.

I am not a person who gives up; I fight as long as there is any hope that we can achieve our goal, so I am happy that this second chance has arisen, not only for me but also for my colleagues from other parties, to choose differently and more courageously this time, freed from the pressure that public voting brings.
