Banu: Promotion of the first issue of Glasnik

The promotion of the first issue of the Glasnik of the Bosniak Academy of Sciences and Arts was held in the crowded ceremonial hall of the University of Sarajevo, reports the Patria News Agency.

In his introductory presentation, the President of the Academy, Academician Muhamed Filipović, spoke about the content and significance of the journal, in which all members of BANU presented themselves with their own texts.

The heads of the departments spoke about the Annual of the Academy: Academician Hasnija Muratagić-Tuna – Department of Language and Literature; Academician Mehmed Akšamija – Department of Culturology, Academician Smail Čekić – Department of History, and Academician Enver Halilović on behalf of the Department of Political Thought.

According to the assessment of the presenters and other attendees, Glasnik BANU was produced according to the highest aesthetic and technical standards and is characterized by excellent scientific and artistic works of special importance for Bosnia and Bosniaks, which affirm national identity to the greatest extent and point to the importance of preserving the cultural heritage of Bosniaks, all with the aim of achieving full freedom and independence of the Bosniak people and the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
