Banja Luka: Epidemiological situation worsened, shopping malls will not operate on weekends

BANJA LUKA, (Patria) - Banja Luka Mayor Igor Radojičić said after a session of the city's Civil Protection Headquarters that the epidemiological situation has worsened and that further measures need to be taken. Eight people in Banja Luka have been infected with the coronavirus.

"The primary goal is prevention and stopping the spread of infection," he emphasized.

The working hours of retail and catering facilities in the city area are limited until 6:00 PM, and drugstores until 10:00 PM, while bakeries will not operate during the night.

The operation of children's playrooms, fitness centers, nightclubs, and wedding venues is also suspended, while shopping malls and the livestock market will not operate on weekends. Radojičić emphasized that this measure takes effect immediately.

He recommended that parents not send their children to kindergartens starting tomorrow, stating that additional hygiene measures will be implemented in the city.
