Bandić: Shame on you, Europe, and we should be smart

(Patria) - There are people who naively believe that the EU will build our state or defend it tomorrow if by any chance the "reformed" Trika partner Milorad Dodik were to embark on open secession, says member of the Party for BiH Presidency and MP in the Sarajevo Canton Assembly Muamer Bandić.

"Let's remember that the United Nations was responsible for the security of the so-called protected and demilitarized zones of Srebrenica and Žepa.

When the aggressor attacked these zones, the UN did not lift a finger to prevent it, but rather withdrew, leaving the civilian population at the mercy of the Chetniks, and exclusively concerned themselves with the safety of their soldiers.

Moreover, a good portion of the people who sought refuge in and around their base were coldly handed over to the Chetniks for slaughter.

We are a small and unprotected nation; if we are unable to learn from the mistakes of others, then at least let's learn from our own, so that history does not repeat itself.

I say this because history has a tendency to brutally punish bad students.

And today, diplomats from the EU Delegation paid tribute to the fallen perpetrators of genocide against Bosniaks in Podrinje at the Military Cemetery in Bratunac. Shame on you, Europe, and we should be smart," Bandić stated.
