Bandić: Sellers of fog will bring Sarajevo Canton to a complete collapse

“While it lures you, it feeds you honey, and when it lures you, it forbids you even bread,” says an old folk proverb that most realistically describes our experience of coalition with the Trojka in Sarajevo Canton. While they lured us into a coalition, they spoke sweetly about the program, changes, and honesty, but once they lured us, it turned out that all those stories were empty lies. The moment we voted for the new Government, the program, the changes, and the honesty disappeared, and only lies remained. As it began, so this coalition ends, with lies, and the latest was uttered by the young, but promising liar, Prime Minister Uk.

The Trojka announced public and transparent work, a fight for the rule of law and equality before the law, while basing most of their actions on open corruption. One example is the appointment of the acting director of the Cantonal Inspectorate Administration. Although Article 4 of the Law on Ministerial, Governmental, and Other Appointments of the FBiH stipulates that appointments for a shorter period can be made for a maximum of three months and cannot be repeated, the Government headed by the young Munchausen violated this very clear provision and appointed one person three times. As a representative and a lawyer by profession, I could not remain silent about such things because this way of working produces legal uncertainty.

Prime Minister Pinocchio lies that SBiH did not support the work of the Government, because without the support of the SBiH Club, this Government would not exist, for which one representative from NiP did not even vote. Without our support, neither the Budget of Sarajevo Canton nor the Health Insurance Fund would have been adopted. There is no fire in the Assembly, as the boy with the growing nose claims, but things must finally be called by their real names, and it must be said that trading of votes is taking place in the Sarajevo Canton Assembly. And our Pinocchio knows this very well, because the KS Assembly has not held regular sessions since June only because the Trojka has been actively working on buying representatives.

The wooden puppet at the head of the Government should know that the Assembly sessions are convened by the Speaker, and I hope I don't need to remind him who that person is and from which party they come!? The only transparency that the Trojka has shown in Sarajevo Canton is open and very transparent corruption, and it is clear to all of us that the KS Assembly session will be convened when the hungry eyes are fed and the little hands are bought.

My personal stance that I was not in favor of a coalition with the Trojka is known from before, because I knew they were incapable of bringing about the changes we desperately needed. It was clear to me from the beginning that this was an interest group that engages in politics solely for personal, interest-based positioning, and not to do anything for the betterment of society. In the end, this series of lies and deceptions has also led to the complete political disenfranchisement of Bosniaks in the FBiH, which we did not want to participate in, making us an unsuitable and undesirable partner in Sarajevo Canton in the end.

Unfortunately, in the end, these sellers of fog will lead us to the complete collapse of Sarajevo Canton and its services, because this amount of lies is simply unsustainable in the long run.
