By Muamer Bandić, member of the Party of BiH Presidency
Intoxicated by "relaxation of relations and continuous dialogue", "reform processes" and "momentum on the European path", we somehow didn't even notice that the work of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH (PSBiH) has been blocked for half a year.
And this standstill in the work of this legislative institution, which has been ongoing since March this year, is happening at a time when the spin doctors of the imposed government are convincing us that more has never been done and that it has never been better than their prostration for the sake of positions to anti-state agents. In short, this means that no law, no intergovernmental agreement will pass as long as their partners keep us in this "relaxation of relations".
And how did it all come to this, despite the idyll within the anti-state coalition? The proposed Law on the Constitutional Court of BiH is a proposal by Želimir Nešković, which envisages a new organization of the court, the removal of foreign judges, and the introduction of an ethnic key for voting?
Regardless of how this open attack on the constitutional order of our country ended up on the agenda of the House of Peoples, it has led to a complete blockage of the work of this institution, and there are no indications from the clubs of the Serb and Croat peoples that the controversial material will be removed. They presumably do not need relaxation of relations, continuous dialogue, reforms, and the European path. These abstractions seem to be needed only when Bosniaks, confused and divided by propaganda, need to make concessions to those who are doing everything to undermine and collapse this state. And that state is certainly not ideal, but whatever it is, we don't have a better one!
The positive thing in this situation is that all members of the Bosniak People's Club stand together against the unconstitutional draft law, and Kemal Ademović from NiP, Šefik Džaferović and Safet Softić from SDA, Dženan Đonlagić from DF, and Džemal Smajić from the Party of BiH, thus clearly showing that there is a red line in Bosniak politics that must not be crossed. And these people must have the unified support of all political entities that care about our state and its future, just as Slaven Kovačević should have it in breaking this destructive ethnic monopoly over our institutions.
It is interesting that the High Representative for the palestinization of Bosniaks, Christian Schmidt, silently observes this anti-state action and does not react at all. Which is very strange for a man who suspended the FBiH Constitution to impose this government. It would be nice of him to explain to this nation why he does not use his powers to remove one item from the agenda or to annul the session itself in order to unblock the work of this House. And I call on him to do so, because what is that compared to the suspension of the Constitution?
However, it seems that the High Representative for the palestinization of Bosniaks has a problem when he needs to touch the interests of his political darlings, HDZ and SNSD, with his moves and decisions. They can do whatever they want and say whatever they want, even the most heinous anti-state things, without any consequences. For them, Schmidt is there just to watch and call for dialogue.
Schmidt, through his actions so far, has shown that he does nothing without a nod from his mentors in Zagreb. And it is clear to everyone that today we almost cry for the expressions of concern from his predecessor. And Zagreb should also ask itself if it needs such a out-of-tune and slow state on a 1,000-kilometer border, while its chief judge on the ground is doing everything to keep it that way!
