Bandić: The Coop Rebellion Heralds the Beginning of Troubles in the "Trojka" Paradise

A few years ago, they offered us the most capable, most honest, and bravest cadres, they offered changes, a better life, and an organized state. However, since they have been in power, we have not yet seen any concrete results from these people, nor have we felt any improvement. This is the situation from the municipal level all the way to the top of the state.

Reality shows us that our city is neglected, dirty, and suffocating under air pollution, while traffic collapse is our daily occurrence. Prices are skyrocketing daily, the Sarajevo Canton treasury is empty, and public utilities are on their last legs. When you ask them who is to blame for such a situation, they will readily say the previous government, completely ignoring the fact that at least half of today's "Trojka" leaders were part of that same "previous government".

They came to power and maintain power through lies and media spins. The only result of such policies is that today we live in a deeply divided and poisoned society, where the two political blocs in Sarajevo despise each other more than they despise the fascist, clientelist, and anti-state policies of SNSD and HDZ.

Churchill once said that the most lies are told in love, hunting, and election campaigns. The election campaign ended last year, and "our" government is still maintained by lies. Therefore, I am right to ask the question: when will the lying stop? And when will our people and our institutions have coherent and meaningful policies?

Given the current conflicts within the ruling coalition, within which SDP, as the strongest party, like a boa constrictor, squeezes and suffocates smaller coalition partners, which is evident from the results of the local elections, as well as from the positioning of cadres in executive positions in municipalities, the City, and Sarajevo Canton, and also during the recent controversial decisions in the imposed Federation of BiH Government, where NiP and Naša stranka cadres were merely extras in processes initiated ad hoc by SDP.

This is the same pattern that SDA has applied for years and which kept it in power for a long time, unchallenged, but was disastrous for all its partners. In this "brotherly" embrace, smaller coalition partners, although part of the government, have so little say that they can only act as the opposition to themselves. This is what we clearly see today in the political actions of Naša stranka and NiP at all levels of government.

Precisely because of this, we have a "coop rebellion" today, in which there has been an open conflict between the leaders of Naša stranka and NiP, condemned to fight over the crumbs of power that SDP, as the strongest party, gives them.

And only now should we listen carefully to what they say about each other, because we might hear the truth from them for the first time about what they actually think of each other in this interest-based, clientelist coalition called "Trojka".

And tomorrow we can ask ourselves where did those good, most capable, most honest, and bravest people disappear, and why don't we live in an organized society and why are we not yet part of the EU?
