Bandić: How and why have the loudest proponents of the civic concept in BiH fallen silent?

(Patria) - The international community, or to put it briefly, foreigners, are only interested in feeding and thus silencing the dogs that bark the loudest in BiH, in order to show the success of their own (in)action in their fabricated reports and thus fictitiously build their professional biographies, rather than the success and progress of BiH, believes the Member of the KS Assembly and member of the Main Board of the Party for BiH, Muamer Bandić.

"And this schizophrenic environment, which the foreign factor produces, is visible to every careful observer at every step and in every process concerning the building of a modern and European society and state in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It is often the case that these same foreigners accept and approve, and even promote solutions that are in principle and value contrary to everything that the European Commission and the European Court of Human Rights demand from the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the process of adaptation and accession.

Moreover, they are often contrary to common sense and legal solutions applied in the countries they come from. It has been shown more than once that they are willing to tolerate political corruption in BiH, as long as it suits their set goals.

Let's recall the uproar around the infamous 'April Package', which further cemented the position of entity voting in the constitutional-legal system of BiH, and which foreigners pushed on us as a solution for our future.

With the same fervor, they recently pushed on us the dismantling of the Constitution of FBiH and the formation of an imposed Government of FBiH as a solution for the future of our country.

Just as the Party for BiH was against such solutions in 2006, we were also against them in 2023, remaining faithful to our struggle for a civic state, in which all individuals will enjoy the same political rights because they are citizens of BiH, and not because they belong to some ethnicity, or a constituent people.

For this Bosnian-Herzegovinian and statesmanlike principledness, the Party for BiH was severely punished and almost destroyed after 2006. The same is happening today, only in a different way.

Even the OHR, which passed the Decision enacting the Law on Amendments to the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the end of April this year, will duly overlook the buying of votes in the Sarajevo Canton Assembly, simply because it currently suits their political pawns, who are ready for all sorts of political, even anti-state concessions, all for personal gain and to remain in power.

Today, after the new judgment of the European Court of Human Rights, which de facto overturns the fictitious principle of legitimate political representation of constituent peoples, the loudest representatives of the 'civic' in our society until yesterday have proven to be false, both leftists and liberals, more dedicated to pleasing those anti-state elements that keep them in power, than to their own political principles and values, which they at least declaratively and populistically advocated before the elections.

Therefore, the silence from the SDP and Our Party is heavy, and the denial and relativization of this new judgment is even sadder. But that's how it is when you sell yourself for a gram of power, and the question today is whether that gram is even a gram?

Therefore, let both 2006 and 2023 be a warning to all of us about what kind of predators we are surrounded by and left to their mercy.

We simply must have faith in ourselves and our country, in the legal order and justice that is on our side. But at the same time, we must be aware that we must fight for justice and for the state at every step. For Bosnia and Herzegovina", Bandić stated.
