Baković receives warning letter: Illegal Assembly of the Football Association of BiH must not be held

General Secretary of the Football Association of BiH Jasmin Baković has received a letter from two members of the Executive Board of the FA BiH, Ibrahim Adilagić and Senad Islam, warning him that due to irregularities regarding the elections in the FA of Una-Sana Canton and the FA of Bosnian-Podrinje Canton, he should cancel tomorrow's Assembly of the FA BiH, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

They remind that the matter is subject to a court dispute and that if the court annuls the elections in these two cantons, it will be an irregular Assembly that could also be subject to legal proceedings.

- The reason we are addressing you in this manner is that a session of the Executive Board was not scheduled before the Assembly, although it should have been, and that we were suspended in an illegal and non-statutory manner, thus being denied the opportunity to present this at the scheduled Assembly. We are aware that the reason for our suspension is also to deny us the chance to inform that Assembly about the elections in these two cantons – state Adilagić and Islam.

They believe that Baković, as General Secretary, is the person most responsible for the lawful and statutory operation of the Assembly and the Executive Board of the FA BiH.

- We ask you what it means to hold an Assembly when it is certain that 12 delegates were elected illegally, not to mention the candidates from those cantons, how can they even enter the election procedure. Who will be guilty and responsible for holding such an Assembly.

The signatories of the letter hope that Baković will act in accordance with the laws of this country and the Statute of the FA BiH and inform the Assembly about this, or they will be forced to seek protection from the competent state authorities.

Incidentally, the session of the General Assembly of the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina is scheduled for tomorrow at 11:00 AM at the "Terme" hotel in Ilidža.

The agenda includes the election of working bodies of the Assembly, the election of an honorary president, the election of members of the Executive Board and alternate members of the Executive Board, as well as the election of the president, first vice-president, and second vice-president.
