Bakir forgets elections are in BiH, not Turkey

Bakir Izetbegović, Deputy President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA), has an election poster on the Turkish portal todayzaman.com, based in Ankara, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

It remains unclear whether the SDA, in its aggressive election campaign (the most expensive according to Transparency International BiH data), forgot where the elections are being held, or if Izetbegović is counting on the votes of the BiH diaspora in Turkey.

Regardless, it is incomprehensible that at a time when BiH is facing the greatest political, economic, and existential crisis after the floods, with 90,000 displaced people, the SDA is investing vast sums of money in posters and media advertising.

We remind you that according to the TI BiH report, the SDA spent 112,500 KM for the first six days of advertising, and 30,000 KM for preparations.

- Due to the unavailability of data, radio stations and outdoor advertising are not covered, so these figures represent only a small part of the total amount spent, especially considering the parties' tendency to advertise on billboards, which are by far the most popular form of advertising during campaigns – TI BiH announced.
