Bakir admitted that BiH and SDA were good when led by Tihić

At today's Convention of the Party of Democratic Action at the Ilidža Summer Stage, the Election Platform for the upcoming General Elections in October was presented, as well as the list leaders for all levels of government, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

The President of the Main Board of SDA, Halid Genjac, began by conveying greetings from the President of SDA, Sulejman Tihić, to the members, candidates, and sympathizers, and wished him a speedy recovery. The anthem of BiH and SDA was intoned, and a Fatiha was recited in honor of the first President of RBiH, Alija Izetbegović, and all martyrs.

Genjac stated that SDA is heading towards an election victory that BiH needs. The election platform was presented by Bakir Izetbegović, Deputy President of SDA, who at the beginning said that they owe two debts to President Tihić: a debt of gratitude related to the past, the period when he did the best job for BiH during his term from 2002 to 2006, and a debt for the immediate future, for the next 40 days, when they should go to their president with good news and tell him that SDA has won like never before.

Izetbegović stated that with "God's help, they will repeat the best post-war period from 2002 to 2006, when SDA led victorious processes."

The SDA Election Platform has several main goals for the period 2014-2018:

- Development and employment

- Fight against corruption and organized crime

- Citizen security

- Pension stability and social protection for the most vulnerable categories

- Political stability and unblocking of BiH's Euro-Atlantic integration

In his presentation, Izetbegović, among other things, said that they will work on further resolving "unnecessary military assets," so it remains unclear whether he said this consciously or unconsciously. When asked what SDA had done in the past period, Izetbegović said it was "superfluous to repeat."

- I think it is clear to those who love it and those who don't, that whenever SDA was strong, BiH was also strong. The best period was from 2002 to 2006. We have an eight-year break because SDA was moved to second, to third position. We intend to regain strength through unity, regain positions, continue strengthening the state, and recover the economy, said Izetbegović.

The organization of the Convention, as SDA members commented among themselves, was not at a commendable level. The Mayor of Ilidža Municipality, Senaid Memić, asked why chairs were not provided for attendees to sit, but there was no concrete answer. The Convention, which was uncharacteristic for SDA, lasted slightly less than an hour, after which the attendees dispersed, writes Patria.
