Bajramović: The behavior of political power brokers in BiH is unacceptable!

The pressure from certain individuals in the top leadership of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) on the BiH news agency Patria (NAP), due to which the journalists of this agency have to move out of the premises they have been using since their founding, at Ćemaluša 6 street in Sarajevo, has also been condemned by Džebrail Bajramović, a candidate for the Bosniak member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Bajramović stated that the behavior of political power brokers, who control the economic, media, and all other systems in the country, is unacceptable, and that it must stop at some point, so that Bosnia and Herzegovina can move towards development and prosperity.

We remind you that on October 1, 2014, the News Agency Patria received a letter from the director of "Energoinvest" stating that the "contract for the use of space is unilaterally terminated" and that Patria must URGENTLY vacate the space it had been using by October 29, 2014 at the latest.

The management of "Energoinvest" did not have a valid reason for such a decision, and the editorial office was told that the decision to terminate the contract was "ordered from above".

The editorial office of the news agency Patria has been located in the "Energoinvest" building in Ćemaluša since the agency was founded, where many other companies, organizations, clinics, and political parties such as BPS Sefer Halilović and SNSD Milorad Dodik also have premises.

- In Bosnia and Herzegovina, we have nothing that is state-owned - everything is under political control - said Bajramović.

- And by controlling economic entities, political power brokers control the entire society, including the media. Furthermore, you can notice that Bakir Izetbegović and Dragan Čović do not appear at all in TV debates with other candidates for the BiH Presidency member, because they secure votes precisely by pressuring economic entities in the country, or directly their employees.

This ultimately, Bajramović concluded, leads to a poor election result.
