Bajramović lost confidence

The Federation of Independent Trade Unions of BiH is holding a Congress tomorrow where new leadership of the Federation will be elected. According to what sources of the BiH news agency Patria (NAP) have said, the current president of the Federation, Ismet Bajramović, will not receive another term.

The opposing candidates to Ismet Bajramović, who will most likely seek re-election at the Congress planned for February 20, should be the vice-president of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of BiH, Salih Kruščica, and the candidate from the Police Union, Nedžib Đozo.

The president of the "BH Telecom" Union, Avad Bahto, told NAP that it is ungrateful to predict at this moment who will lead the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of BiH in the coming period, but he agrees that the Federation has done very little in the past period to raise workers' standards.

- I don't want to say that anyone individually is to blame for the bad situation. I am of the opinion that the entire group of people in the Federation, from top to bottom, should have done much more - said Bahto.

The former president of the Transport Union in FBiH, Bejto Kačar, says that he personally would like Bajramović not to get a second term as president of the Federation. Although Čakar himself voted for Bajramović four years ago, only two years later, he was not satisfied with his work.

- I think Mr. Bajramović is an outpost of the SDP, especially of Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić - said Čakar for NAP, noting that he most resents Bajramović for his high salary.
