Eid Mubarak!

(Patria) - According to the Takvim of the Islamic Community in BiH, today is the first day of Eid al-Adha. The Eid prayer is at 5:43 AM.

The central Eid ceremony of the Riyasat of the Islamic Community will be held at the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque in Sarajevo, where the Eid sermon will be delivered by Reis-ul-ulema Husein-ef. Kavazović.

After the morning prayer (sabah-namaz), which will begin at 4:30 AM, a ceremonial program featuring renowned reciters of the Qur'an, ilahis, and qasidas will be held.

A suitable sermon on this occasion will be given by the director of the Gazi Husrev-beg Madrasa, Dževad Pleh.

BHT1 and BIR television will broadcast the central Eid ceremony live.

On the first day of Eid al-Adha, the Reis-ul-ulema organizes the traditional Eid greeting from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Administrative Building of the Riyasat of the Islamic Community in Kovači.

Starting at 7:00 PM, the traditional Eid reception for guests hosted by the Reis-ul-ulema will be held.

The importance of Eid al-Adha or the Hajj Eid is determined by the act of sacrificing an animal (kurban) and distributing the meat to the poor, friends, and neighbors, as well as the pilgrimage (hajj), when several million Muslims stay in Mecca on specific days. Among them this year are 2,222 citizens of BiH.

Eid al-Adha lasts four days.

On this occasion, the Patria News Agency extends sincere congratulations to all Muslims in BiH and around the world, with the wish that they celebrate this holiday in peace, joy, happiness, and prosperity.
