Bajević calls up 30 players for upcoming matches

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - BiH national team will play three matches next month, the most important being against Northern Ireland in the playoffs for EURO 2020.

For this match scheduled at the “Grbavica“ stadium in Sarajevo on October 8, and for the matches in the 3rd and 4th round of the Nations League against the Netherlands on 10/11 in Zenica, and Poland three days later in Warsaw, coach Dušan Bajević has called up 30 players.

“We are playing three matches in 7 days, which will be very demanding, even if no one gets injured or sick, which is why we decided to call up 30 players for preparations,“ explained Bajević. The coach said that he is most afraid of injuries at the moment, as our players will play one more match before the gathering.

"I hope that it is nothing serious with Bičakčić and that he will show up for the call-up next week. We will have only three days until the match with Northern Ireland and we will try to use that time in the best possible way to prepare and achieve the result we want.“

The following players have been called up for the matches against Northern Ireland, the Netherlands, and Poland:

Goalkeepers: Ibrahim Šehić, Asmir Begović, Jasmin Burić, Kenan Pirić.

Defense: Ermin Bičakčić, Siniša Saničanin, Ervin Zukanović, Sead Kolašinac, Eldar Ćivić, Anel Ahmedhodžić, Dennis Hadžikadunić, Branimir Cipetić, Darko Todorović, Advan Kadušić.

Midfield: Rade Krunić, Stjepan Lončar, Miralem Pjanić, Gojko Cimirot, Amir Hadžiahmetović, Amer Gojak, Deni Milošević, Haris Hajradinović, Benjamin Tatar.

Attack: Miroslav Stevanović, Haris Duljević, Edin Džeko, Armin Hodžić, Edin Višća, Elvir Koljić, Smail Prevljak.
