Azra Zornić on threats of a third entity: One morning you will realize that the snows have melted and Bosnia and Herzegovina has moved forward

(Patria) - Croatian MEP Tomislav Sokol (HDZ) has once again shown the official Zagreb's extremely problematic and destabilizing attitude towards the political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina through a public statement.

His recent appearance on RTV Herceg-Bosne, a media outlet controlled by structures close to Dragan Čović and HDZ BiH, was marked by open rhetoric of threats and clear incitement of political divisions, including the scandalous announcement of the possible establishment of a third entity in BiH.

- If they do not agree to the Election Law, Bosniaks will wake up with a third entity - Tomislav Sokol threatened, among other things, in his appearance.

Azra Zornić, an appellant before the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, sent an open letter to Sokol on this occasion, which you can read below.

"Dear Mr. Sokol, I have read, or at least tried to read, your latest 'epic work' performed on RTV HB. First of all, congratulations on your courage.

It really took courage to come forward and repeat the same, tired, and threatening mantra that your political idol from Banja Luka has been spreading for years. Innovative. Revolutionary.

I almost expected you to call for 'arson' at the end of the show, just a little more 'European', with the addition of Dalmatian prosciutto, so that the threat would at least have some civilizational note.

Your rhetoric is... truly something special. Calling Bosniaks 'Muslims' - wonderful.

As if you opened 'Politics for Beginners' from 1992 and recited by heart a lesson you never understood. You just forgot to mention that the country is called Bosnia and Herzegovina, not 'Sokol's dream of ethnic cleansing by European standards'.

But don't worry - I noticed. The entire region noticed.

You are like that comedian who tells the same joke for years, and the only person laughing is the one paying him.

But, my dear Tomislav, the climax of it all was your threat. 'One morning they will wake up with a third entity.' What dramatic flair. What a cinematic moment.

Imagine the scene: Bosniaks wake up, wash their faces, brush their teeth, make coffee, open the window - and wow! A new entity. As if it appeared overnight, like a mushroom after rain.

Does this entity come via DHL, or do you personally deliver it in three installments? Is a signature required upon delivery, or is it delivered 'by order', outside the law? Does it have a warranty? And if they don't like it - can it be returned after the trial period?

Your threats have the dramaturgy of a bad telenovela, in which the villain is so predictable and pathetic that the audience waits for the end more than they fear the consequences.

Do you want to scare them? Do you want to tell them that they will get 'a solution that is much worse from their perspective'?

Sir, you are a real joke shop. Politically, you are the equivalent of a prankster threatening to blow himself up if you don't give him candy. The problem is that everyone else has grown up, and you are still eating cookies and dreaming of a 'Greater Croatia' reaching the Drina.

While you remain trapped in the past, the world around you - unfortunately for your project goals - is moving forward.

So here, I have a 'threat' for you too. If you and your ideological mentors from Belgrade continue with these destabilizing antics, one morning you will wake up and realize that all the snow has melted. That Bosnia and Herzegovina, despite all your efforts, has moved forward.

That Europe looks at your statements and sees not a strong MEP, but an insecure man repeating others' slogans because he has none of his own. That you have become an anecdote, not a political factor.

And then, Mr. Sokol, you will have neither a third entity, nor a political career, nor a privileged status in history. You will remain just a footnote in the notebooks of political scientists under the heading: 'How not to engage in politics'.

Your name will be synonymous with a failed political project and empty threats.

Now I ask you, go and post another threatening message on Facebook. Maybe someone will be scared - probably only those who pay you, because their investments have also become questionable.

With greetings as sincere as your concern for Bosnia and Herzegovina, the public that no longer takes you seriously."
