Avdić: We are the loudest in presenting the truth, and that does not suit some people

(Patria) - Avdo Avdić, editor of the portal Istraga.ba and the show "Istraga sedmice" on Hayat television, was questioned today at the premises of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) by order of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Avdić was in East Sarajevo today due to the publication of a document about the arrival of Danilo Vučić, the son of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, at the celebration of last year's unconstitutional Day of Republika Srpska.

Appearing today on Hayat television, Avdić explained that he said nothing at SIPA because a journalist cannot be questioned as a witness.

- The Prosecutor's Office issued an order for questioning, and all responsibility was shifted to SIPA inspectors who argued with me about whether I could give a statement or not.

Every word I would say about this poses a risk of revealing sources - Avdić stated on the show "Dobar dan BiH".

He also commented on the actions of prosecutor Biljana Golijanin.

- She cannot clean out drawers through me, who cannot testify. If she is cleaning drawers that way, she is doing it illegally - Avdić said.

He added that the complaint against him was filed anonymously via email and mentioned the recent questioning of Bakir Izetbegović, Reuf Bajrović, and Emir Suljagić at SIPA.

- They always go after the loudest first. Bajrović, Suljagić, Hayat TV… We are the loudest in presenting the truth, and that does not suit some people - Avdić emphasized.

He then commented on the disputed document, saying he "was not aware that publishing the truth in the media was punishable."

- I published the footage to prove the connection between Aleksandar Vučić and the unconstitutional Day of Republika Srpska. His son entered Bosnia and Herzegovina to attend its commemoration.

The cabinet of the Serbian President was involved in that. The unconstitutional Day of Republika Srpska and the arrival of his son are not disputed; what is disputed is that I published a document showing he came.

The violation of the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina is not disputed, but what is disputed is that I published a document showing the Serbian government participated in the commemoration of the unconstitutional Day of Republika Srpska - Avdić said.

Finally, he added that elections are approaching and that many want to silence the voices of those warning about things happening in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
