Authors of the most popular app among Muslim believers in BiH refuse to reveal identity

The internet application popular among Muslim believers in BiH Vaktija.ba has received a smartphone app, BIR reported, as carried by the Patria news agency Patria.

It features a simple design, but behind it all lies a wealth of options that allow for easy management of prayer times and prayer time reminders.

Vaktija is a special Muslim calendar containing prayer times, i.e., the times of the five daily prayers for Muslims. The prayer times on the Vaktija.ba website and app are taken from the Takvim published by the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Initially, Vaktija.ba only contained the vaktija for Bosnia and Herzegovina, but recently the Sandžak region has been included, and the app will also be usable in those areas.

With this app, your phone can remind you of each prayer, with a separate alarm announcing the upcoming prayer time (up to 1 hour in advance), followed by a discreet alert that the prayer time is approaching.

The app also allows for automatic muting of device tones (or switching to vibration) during prayer periods, and then reactivating the device to normal operation. A very useful feature is the counter showing how much time is left until the next prayer.

In developing the app, the uniqueness of Jumu'ah compared to Dhuhr was also considered, and there are options to adjust this to your habits.

In the case of an earlier prayer, such as the "early Fajr" which, for example, those fasting perform at the first time after dawn, the next alarm for Fajr can be turned off. The app will normally activate the alarm for the next day in accordance with previous settings.

The app is free and contains no advertisements. It can be downloaded from Google Play, currently only for Android phone users. Development of the app for iOS and WinPhone platforms is expected.

The interesting app has been developed over a longer period by a team of enthusiasts, IT experts, who do not want to reveal their identity. For them, they say, it is a gift to believers that they do not want to commercialize.
