Auto mafia increasingly brutal: Parking guard held at gunpoint during attempted car theft

In the night from Saturday to Sunday, two hours after midnight, an attempted theft of a VW Golf 5 occurred from the parking lot on Kasima Prohića Street in Dobrinja 3, but the thieves were thwarted by the alarm and the protection that was installed on the car, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The thieves, armed with pistols, trapped the guard in a nearby booth, and while one held him at gunpoint, the other attempted to steal the car. Only the good protection and the alarm, which woke up residents of a nearby building who came out to their windows and balconies, forced the thieves to flee.

The thieves drove off in a gray jeep, the same vehicle they arrived in, heading towards Lukavica, the nearest settlement to this neighborhood.
