
(Patria) - The Cantonal Court in Sarajevo has pronounced a verdict against Armin Berberović, who in May 2023, while driving a car without a valid driver's license, killed Alma Suljić and Azra Spahić on a pedestrian crossing in Sarajevo, sentencing him to 20 years in prison.
The Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton charged him with reckless driving, without a valid driver's license, and under the influence of alcohol and drugs, causing the death of the young doctors at Marijin Dvor.
Berberović, in a traffic accident he caused while under the influence of alcohol with 0.51 per mille of alcohol in his blood and amphetamines, and driving without a driver's license, killed two young doctors, Azra Spahić and Alma Suljić, while Alma's sister Edina sustained minor bodily injuries.
