Arifović: We reported our employee in Mostar

Midhat Arifović, director of the FBiH Tax Administration, confirmed to the BiH news agency Patria (NAP) that the BiH Prosecutor's Office indicted Dinko Ramljak from Posušje, an employee of the FBiH Tax Administration, based on a report submitted to the BiH Prosecutor's Office by the FBiH Tax Administration. Arifović says this has "once again confirmed that no one is untouchable".

Based on the same report from the FBiH Tax Administration, the prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime, and Corruption of the BiH Prosecutor's Office also indicted Ivica Ćuk from Posušje and Damir Ćuk from Mostar, both responsible persons in the trading company "Elipsa" d.o.o. from Posušje.

The three of them are suspected of tax evasion amounting to KM 755,000.

The BiH Prosecutor's Office indicted the aforementioned individuals based on an official report by intelligence and investigative inspectors of the FBiH Tax Administration on the existence of grounds for suspicion that the criminal offense of tax evasion has been committed – confirmed the FBiH Tax Administration.

In the period from 2002 to February 28, 2014, the FBiH Tax Administration submitted a total of 729 official reports to the competent prosecutor's offices, with an estimated amount of evaded tax of KM 405,724,196.23.

According to data from the FBiH Tax Administration, out of the total number of submitted reports, competent courts have issued 69 verdicts, of which 41 were convictions and 28 acquittals. In 138 cases, the proceedings were suspended at the investigation stage or during the proceedings themselves.
