ArcelorMittal awarded best visual art works

An award ceremony for the best drawings was held at ArcelorMittal company on the occasion of a competition that this company has been organizing for seven years in a row, and in which 60 countries participate, including two Bosnian-Herzegovinian cities, Zenica and Prijedor, writes the BH news agency Patria.

A work from Kazakhstan won first place and will be used as the official greeting card for ArcelorMittal employees. The winner at the BiH level is Amel Šeta, a student of Vladimir Nazor Primary School from Zenica.

- My drawing represents the feelings I have towards steel; the colors are there to better show my emotion and to show that steel is truly in my heart. When I won, I thought it was at the school level, but in the end, they informed me that I was the winner for the whole of BiH - stated Šeta.

The winner at the local level received a cash prize of 150 KM, the winner at the national level received a prize of 750 KM, and the winner at the global level received a prize of 1500 KM.

- I am satisfied with the number of participants and I am sure that there will be many more next year. Children are our motivation; their drawings carry messages from which we should learn. I congratulate the winners, and especially Amel Šeta - stated Biju Nair, director of ArcelorMittal Zenica, adding that if Zenica continues like this, it will have a winner at all three levels next year.
