Appeals from Teočak citizens did not stop the swimming for the cross on Lake Snježnica

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - An informal group of citizens in Teočak last week organized a petition signing against the holding of the swimming for the holy cross event on Lake Sniježnica.

According to the organizers from the municipality of Lopare, the swimming will still take place.

"There will be swimming in the lake, and then the event is planned to continue in front of the church in Priboj," said Ljubiša Tošić, councilor in the Municipal Assembly of Lopare and one of the organizers.

The police have approved it, he added, and it has been agreed that everything will be "according to regulations" without any provocations.

We remind you that an informal group of citizens in Teočak last week organized a petition signing against the holding of the swimming for the holy cross event on Lake Sniježnica. Among other things, they stated that last year a 33-meter-long flag, a tricolor, was displayed in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and those present sang songs symbolizing suffering.

It has been agreed that the gathering planned for tomorrow at 12 o'clock will be secured by the local police, and the presence of "special forces" is also expected.
