Community Appeal in BiH: Do Not Use the Palestinian Issue for Election Purposes

(Patria) - The Palestinian community in Bosnia and Herzegovina thanked the Bosnian people, authorities, institutions, officials, the non-governmental sector, and all citizens for their support, and called on everyone, especially the media and public figures, to refrain from using the Palestinian issue for election purposes.

"Our reaction to the participation of members of the Zionist army at the AI summit Kiss the future, which will be held in Sarajevo on September 5-6, 2024, has achieved its goal: the invitation of a lieutenant from the aggressor army has been canceled.

We did not doubt for a moment that any of the organizers knew and intentionally invited a member of the Zionist army to the AI summit Kiss the future; rather, we believe it was an unintentional oversight.

We consider the media's targeting of the organizers, and the use of the suffering of the Palestinian people for partisan disputes, to be absolutely inappropriate and unnecessary.

Instead, we call on everyone to raise their voice against the killing of civilians and children, the expulsion of the population, and the cessation of the brutal aggression against the Palestinian people led by the Zionist aggressor army and the fascist occupying government headed by the criminal Netanyahu and his accomplices," the statement said.
