Appeal for "both" Assemblies of the Sarajevo Canton: People are being poisoned, work, argue later!

(Patria) - A letter from Eko akcija has been sent to the Government of the Sarajevo Canton, the deputies of the Assembly and the leaders of political parties.

"In the days when the air in Sarajevo is DANGEROUSLY polluted, you allow people to continue being poisoned. Direct responsibility lies with you, the government, all deputies in "both" Assemblies of the Sarajevo Canton and the leaders of political parties. Your ignoring of the pollution problem in Sarajevo is actually participation in the negligent homicide of the residents of Sarajevo. Solve the crisis NOW, argue later", they state from Eko akcija.

Attached are two photographs. The first shows smog in Sarajevo on January 10 at 8:30 AM, the second photograph shows the ice rink in Hastahana, Sarajevo, on January 9 at 9 PM. This is one of many ice rinks in the city that continues to operate unhindered despite the measures of the Canton Government, at a DANGEROUS level of air pollution.

The air quality index, measured at that moment at the station of the American Embassy, which is only a few hundred meters away, was 386!
