The Cantonal Public Health Institute of Zenica-Doboj Canton has issued an appeal to the public to take urgent veterinary and administrative measures, due to the real danger of injuries, especially to children, and the transmission of deadly rabies, in order to hygienically and ethically remove abandoned animals, stray dogs and cats from public areas, reports the Patria News Agency.
Public health experts, in their appeal, prefer the opening of shelters for the accommodation and adoption of abandoned animals, in the spirit of humanity and civilizational achievements.
