Appeal to drivers: Start your journeys in the early morning or late evening hours, take more frequent breaks during longer drives

(Patria) - Due to high daily temperatures, we ask drivers to start their journeys in the early morning or evening hours, to take more frequent breaks during longer trips, and to consume sufficient amounts of water. Maintain a safe distance between vehicles and avoid risky overtaking. Inform yourselves in advance about the current road and border crossing conditions.

This is the message from BIHAMK to all drivers embarking on journeys these days.

Due to ongoing renovation works on the Gorica bridge, the left tube of the 1. mart tunnel on the A-1 highway section Zenica-Sarajevo is closed to traffic, and vehicles are driving in both directions through the right tunnel tube.

Works on the road surface renovation have also begun in Nova Bila, on the M-5 highway section Vitez-Travnik, as well as on the M-17 highway (entrance to Hadžići), so traffic is slowed down at these locations.

Due to works on the Bihać-Kamenica section (turn for the business zone), traffic is suspended from 7 AM to 5 PM. The alternative route is: Bihać-Vrkašić-Kamenica-Izačić.

Due to works on the bridge in Ilidža (M-17 Stup-Blažuj), traffic from the direction of Blažuj is being rerouted through the settlement of Lužani, while traffic from the direction of Ilidža is proceeding over the bridge, one lane at a time.

Traffic is slower due to works during the day on the following highways: Kiseljak-Busovača, Lašva-Kaonik, Travnik-Vitez, Bijeljina-Šepak, Čitluk-Ljubuški, Livno-Šuica, and Ripač-Dubovsko, as well as at the entrance to Bugojno (from the direction of Rostovo).

Due to road subsidence at the entrance to Vinac from the direction of Donji Vakuf (M-5/16 Donji Vakuf-Jajce), only one lane is in operation, and the speed limit is 20 km/h.

On the regional road section from Ravno towards the Ljubinje-Trebinje highway (M-6), traffic is suspended and rerouted to alternative routes.

Due to renovation works, the bridge at the entrance to Nemila (connection of M-17 with R-473) is closed, and vehicles are using the intersection in Topčić Polje.

At the Velika Kladuša and Bosanska Gradiška border crossings, there is increased passenger vehicle traffic exiting Bosnia and Herzegovina. At other border crossings, passenger vehicle traffic is currently proceeding with delays of 10 to 30 minutes.
