Appeal from the Parents' Council for adults because children may not be fully aware of the risks: Let us be responsible

(Patria) - In the fight against the coronavirus, no one is exempt. We all wish for it to last as short as possible and for the consequences to be minimal. This requires that in responsibility, solidarity and discipline we start from
ourselves.

The Parents' Council of primary and secondary school students of Sarajevo Canton requested that schools be closed and online classes be organized. For us, our children, as well as for most of the teaching staff, this is a novelty we are still adapting to and we will get better at it. For the basic purpose of our request to succeed, which is health protection and, as much as possible, preventing the spread of the virus among students, their parents and further to the wider community, we must make an additional effort.

"This means that our children do not stay in cafes, playrooms, or other entertainment venues, where exposure to infection is greater. Now our place is all at home or in the fresh air, respecting all measures and recommendations of the Crisis Staff.

We hereby appeal to parents, because children may not be fully aware of the risks. Let us be dedicated to the common goal, which is to create conditions for life to return to normal as soon as possible. Let us behave in accordance with the recommendations of the Crisis Staff and other competent authorities. Let us be an example to our children," states the letter from the Management Board of VRKS.
