Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Address Ethics and Norms of Conduct in BiH

The Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina will soon address the issue of ethics in the country, stated the President of ASABIH, Professor Miloš Trifković, for the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

He said that not everything is allowed in the world, there are rules and norms of conduct, and therefore, behavior and actions without any rules and limitations, which unfortunately often happens in Bosnia and Herzegovina today, cannot be allowed in Bosnia and Herzegovina either.

- You saw a few days ago when the US decided to deliver the Ebola vaccine, which is still in the experimental phase, the World Health Organization first issued a statement that it was ethical in this case to send that finally unapproved vaccine. So, that entire complicated process only started when it received some ethical approval – Professor Trifković told NAP.

- This must also apply to us in BiH. Not everything is allowed, not everyone is allowed everything, not even the Academy of Sciences and Arts is allowed everything – Trifković added.

The law professor, who was elected President of ASABIH in June this year, announced that the Academy will now connect more with other institutions in BiH and that it will strive for academics, gathered by this one of the most important institutions in the country, to respond to the most urgent social needs in BiH, but at the same time to stimulate some issues that are now mentioned only individually, but not as a social problem, writes NAP.
