The Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina organizes an international scientific conference on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of ZAVNOBiH

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the ZAVNOBiH session, the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina is organizing an international scientific conference on the topic: The historical foundation of the renewed statehood of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 20th and 21st centuries.

The conference will be held on April 24 and 25 this year at the premises of the Academy.

According to the announced program, the conference will be attended, among others, by Mirko Pejanović, who will speak on the "historical continuity of the development of Bosnia and Herzegovina's statehood from the First session of ZAVNOBiH in 1943 to the citizens' referendum on the sovereign and independent status of BiH in 1992".

Ivo Goldstein will speak on the topic "Josip Broz Tito, the KPJ and Bosnia and Herzegovina 1937–1943", while Marko Atilla Hoare will speak on the topic "The Great Serbian threat, ZAVNOBiH and Muslim Bosniak entry into the People’s Liberation Movement".

Denis Bećirović will speak on the topic "ZAVNOBiH as a historical response to pre-war and wartime policies of dividing Bosnia and Herzegovina".

Ivan Cvitković will speak on the second day of the conference on the topic "Why is ZAVNOBiH controversial and to whom", while the topic Asim Mujkić will speak on will be "ZAVNOBiH – Bosnia and Herzegovina as an anti-fascist community of value pluralism".

Nerzuk Ćurak will speak on the topic "The sin of denial and the virtue of ZAVNOBiH".
