Unconstitutional referendum in RS is a blow to the Constitutional Court of BiH and the Dayton Agreement

Yesterday's referendum, or rather a survey conducted on a wider sample of the population of the RS entity, lacked legality, and obviously will not have credibility either. Given that the organizers of the unconstitutional referendum in the RS entity did not have the lists of the Central Election Commission at their disposal, they were left with room for various manipulations, which they have extensively used, the SDA announced.

- The catastrophically low turnout was pumped up with figures during yesterday, so that the public outside the Banja Luka's Banski dvor would get the impression of massive support for this adventure, which legally violates the Dayton Agreement and endangers peace, order, and stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Faced with low turnout, the referendum organizers used all conceivable mechanisms of deception to achieve the turnout necessary to legitimize the illegal referendum for internal purposes. However, regardless of the fabricated numbers with which they hide the debacle from the public, the referendum organizers cannot lie to themselves – and must be fully aware that, despite playing with emotions and a propaganda offensive on the consciousness of the average citizen of the RS entity, they have not achieved their goal – the majority of citizens in the RS are not interested in political adventures whose sole real purpose is to support the faded political ego of Milorad Dodik.

The president of the RS entity is trying to take the entire entity, and through it, the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina, hostage, and to make a shield out of the people for his arrogant, corrupt, and ultimately failed decade-long rule. However, the blow to the Constitutional Court of BiH and the Dayton Agreement only opens up an additional possibility that, in addition to the economic malversations he has managed to cover up so far, he will also be criminally prosecuted for violating the constitutional order - the SDA announced.
