Ante Ramljak resigns as Agrokor commissioner

ZAGREB, (Patria) - The extraordinary commissioner in Agrokor, Ante Ramljak, submitted his written resignation to Prime Minister Andrej Plenković late Tuesday afternoon, reports Jutarnji list.

He did so after a meeting where they discussed the resignation and the future of Agrokor.

- You will find out everything on Wednesday - said the Minister of Economy, Martina Dalić, after the meeting.

Throughout Tuesday, meetings of government members were held at the Banski dvori on the topic of the situation in Agrokor, and Gordan Jandroković, the Speaker of the Croatian Parliament, once again publicly reprimanded Ante Ramljak for lucrative consulting fees for his former company Texo Management.

Reportedly, Ramljak had already submitted his resignation to the Prime Minister ten days ago and told him then that if he were to be dismissed, the new commissioner should be given another six months to conclude a creditors' agreement, as it would take time to enter into the historically most complex restructuring of a company in this part of Europe.

Admittedly, Ramljak then believed that if Plenković dismissed him, he would dismiss not only the consultants from his former company and his acquaintances but also the company AlixPartners, the main advisor in the process of restructuring Agrokor.
