Survey after 15 days of election campaign: Whom would citizens give their vote for mayor and city mayor

According to the results of a mini-survey conducted by the Patria News Agency after 15 days of election campaign, out of a sample of 1,000 respondents, if local elections were held today, citizens would entrust their votes for mayoral positions to candidates from various political options.

Also, it is evident that as many as 35 percent of respondents are still undecided, not only about whom they will vote for, but whether they will go to the polls at all.

In the Sarajevo Canton, for the mayor of Centar Municipality, 53 percent would give their vote to DF candidate Samer Rešidat. In Novi Sarajevo, 62 percent would vote for SDA-SBB candidate Nedžad Koldžo.

In Novi Grad, 52 percent of respondents would vote for DF candidate Goran Kovačević, in Stari Grad 71 percent for independent candidate Ibrahim Hadžibajrić, while in Ilidža, 65 percent would give their vote to Senaid Memić (SDA-SBB). In Ilijaš, according to the current mood of the citizens, the most votes would go to independent candidate Enes Durak (SDP-DF), whom 55 percent would trust. 

Fuad Kasumović, an independent candidate for the mayor of Zenica, would be supported by 64 percent of citizens, 59 percent would give their vote to independent candidate for mayor of Visoko Amra Babić, while the current mayor of Tešanj Suad Huskić from SDA-SBB currently enjoys the trust of 73 percent of respondents.

Jasmine Imamović (SDP) as the mayor of Tuzla is desired by 47 percent of respondents, while 45 percent see DF candidate Alen Gađo in that position. Mehmed Mustabašić (SDA-SBB), according to the survey results, could be re-elected as the mayor of Maglaj. 59 percent of citizens see him in that position.

In Bihać, 51 percent of respondents stated that they would give their vote to the SDP candidate for mayor Hajrudin Havić, in Cazin, Almin Handanagić (SDA-SBB) currently enjoys the greatest trust of voters, to whom 64 percent of respondents would give their vote, while in Bužim, 54 percent of citizens would vote for DF candidate Hilmija Nanić.

As many as 76 percent of citizens whom we surveyed by random sampling in Goražde would gladly see independent candidate Muhamed Ramović as mayor again.

In HNK, the fiercest battle for the position of mayor is taking place in Stolac. The joint candidate of the coalition For a Better Stolac, Salmir Kaplan, would receive the votes of 53 percent of respondents if the elections were held tomorrow.

When it comes to SBK, in Travnik, according to the survey results, Admir Hadžimerić (SDA-SBB) would receive the largest number of votes, as many as 67 percent, while in Donji Vakuf, 51 percent of citizens see DF candidate Senad Balihodžić in the position of mayor.

The Patria News Agency will conduct a survey and publish the results the day before the election silence, on Friday, September 30.
