Andrej and Ante Indicted for Human Smuggling

 

The Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH has filed an indictment against: Džini Nreca, aka "Andrej", born 07.09.1952 in Veleža, municipality of Prizren, Serbia, residing in Mostar, a citizen of BiH, and Koljđeraj Nue, aka "Ante", born 28.01.1976 in Zjum, municipality of Prizren, Serbia, residing in Široki Brijeg, a citizen of BiH, reports the Patria News Agency.

The accused are charged with illegally transporting three migrants from Kosovo across the state borders of Montenegro and BiH, and then BiH and Croatia, with the intention of obtaining financial gain in the amount of 6,000 euros.

According to the indictment, in February 2015, after a prior agreement, the accused drove a rented vehicle to Montenegro, where near Nikšić they picked up three individuals from Kosovo, without valid documents for stay in BiH and Croatia, drove them to the immediate vicinity of the state border between Montenegro and BiH, near the Vraćenovići border crossing, and gave them instructions on how to illegally cross the state border on foot.

After the aforementioned three individuals illegally crossed the border, the suspects picked them up on the territory of BiH, and then transported them by vehicle to a location near the Crveni grm border crossing, directly between the state borders of BiH and Croatia, where the individuals, again according to the prior instructions of the suspects, illegally crossed the state border on foot in the area of the municipality of Vrgorac in Croatia, while the suspects waited for them at a pre-arranged location, to continue the journey together towards Vrgorac, where they were stopped and checked by Croatian police, during which the illegal entry of individuals from Kosovo into the territory of Croatia was discovered.

The accused are charged with committing the criminal offense of human smuggling. The indictment has been forwarded for confirmation to the Court of BiH, it was announced from the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.
