Andelija will not resign, sees culprit in union dishonesty

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - "The miners' union promised one thing on Wednesday and wrote another on Friday. Of course, demands that were not even agreed upon cannot be met. A completely different agreement was reached on Wednesday. What the Union has sent increases the mine's dilemma. The Union is demanding a 20% increase in the price of coal in the Agreement, or an additional 55 million to increase salaries by 20%, while EP and citizens pay the mine's outstanding obligations through the price of electricity. We cannot agree to that. For the sake of all people, citizens in FBiH," said Admir Andelija, Director of JP Elektroprivreda BiH, for N1.

When asked how he comments on Željko Komšić's call for him to resign, as well as the Union's constant calls for him to step down, Andelija replies that he does not wish to comment: '‘

"Regarding the Union's demand for dismissal... The Union cannot detach itself from the practice of appointing and dismissing directors. The time when the Union appointed and dismissed directors is over. I call on them to return to normal relations. What is agreed upon must be respected. We have a situation where the Union says one thing on Wednesday and sends another on Friday, mobilizing the public with fears that salaries will be 570. We have proven that this was not the case, that no salary will be reduced. They are doing this consciously."

The Director of Elektroprivreda believes that there is a lot of disinformation and biased media reporting in favor of the Union, which, on the other hand, misrepresents things to the public: '‘

'Four points were agreed upon on Wednesday. We did not want to go public about what was agreed upon because of them... it was agreed that they would stop protests, and that the Agreement, as agreed on Wednesday, would be signed on Friday. The Union went home, probably received new instructions, and sent completely new material, new demands compared to those agreed upon, and they also went public." Andelija said, and added:

"They are blackmailing the entire country. They want to bring the entire country and economy to a collapse for the interests they have."
