The football club from Saudi Arabia, Al Riyadh SC, is Bosnia and Herzegovina in miniature, said Amir Alagić, a Bosnian football expert who has been the coach of Al Riyadh SC since June this year, for the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP).
- Besides me as the head coach, there are also Amir Doksanaltić from Bihać, who is the goalkeeper coach, and Redžad Dikonja from Sarajevo, who works as a fitness coach. According to local sports rules, the club can have one foreign player, so we brought in Bosnian defender Ekrem Hodžić – said Alagić.
A former player of Jedinstvo from Bihać, Borac from Banja Luka, as well as clubs like Germania Leer from Germany and Thunder Melbourne from Australia, Amir Alagić took over Al Riyadh Sport Club less than two months ago. His goal is to enter the Saudi Arabian Super League.
- The club president is Saudi Prince Faisal Abdul Aziz. They offered us very good conditions, and every success we achieve is additionally rewarded – says the Bosnian expert.
Alagić has worked in twelve countries on five continents during his coaching career. He also led the Brunei national football team, writes NAP.
