US Congressmen: We cannot allow Dodik's actions to go unanswered

(Patria) - Efforts by RS President Milorad Dodik to break the Dayton Peace Agreement and undermine three decades of fragile peace in the Balkans are deeply concerning, US Congressmen Jake Auchincloss and Mike Turner believe.

They point out that Dodik's appeal to Russian President Vladimir Putin for support only further destabilizes the region, threatens the sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and defies the rule of law.

In a joint statement, Auchincloss and Turner said that the US and its allies cannot allow these actions to go unanswered.

"We remain committed to promoting peace and stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina and will continue to work with our European allies to counter malign influence and uphold the principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity in the Balkans," the US congressmen added.
