(Patria) - US Ambassador to BiH Michael Murphy is visiting the Una-Sana Canton, and today in Bihać he met with representatives of the cantonal government.
Prime Minister of Una-Sana Canton Mustafa Ružnić, along with Minister of Justice and Administration Dragan Polimac and President of the Cantonal Assembly Jasmin Musić, discussed the overall situation in this part of BiH and activities aimed at fighting corruption with the US Ambassador to BiH, after which they jointly attended the opening of the USK Anti-Corruption Office.
Ružnić said that everyone worked to present the Una-Sana Canton in a positive light.
"We did what was up to us. The USK Government will ensure the smooth operation of the Office through the budget and legal regulations. Today we are sending a clear message that we visit this Office during ceremonies and anniversaries, and that we do not visit it by coming and asking for any data on any individual. I thank our partners who supported us when it comes to the Office," said Ružnić.
"Although it is just the first step of a long road ahead, this is an important accomplishment in the effort to fight corruption, promote transparency, and ensure fairness in USK.
The United States is proud to stand with all those in BiH who have decided to fight corruption and work for the benefit of citizens," Murphy said in a post on X.
