Amel Tuka broke the Balkan record

(Patria) - The best BiH athlete Amel Tuka won second place in the 800-meter race held at the meeting in Madrid. The silver medalist from the last World Championship in this discipline achieved a time of 1:45.95, which is a new indoor record for Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as a new Balkan record. Tuka himself set the old BiH and Balkan record in the 800 meters three years ago in Ghent, Belgium - 1:46.33 minutes.

Only Spaniard Marciano Garcia (1:45.66) was faster than Tuka today, and Frenchman Pierre-Amboise Bosse ran the same time as our best athlete.

The race in Madrid was the final test before competing at the European Indoor Championships, which will be held from March 4 to 7 in Toruń, Poland.
