The Permanent Representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the United Nations, Ambassador Mirsada Čolaković, was received in a farewell visit on 28 July 2015 by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, reports the Patria news agency.
Secretary-General Ki-moon thanked Ambassador Čolaković for the exceptionally good and successful cooperation, emphasizing that Bosnia and Herzegovina's presence in the United Nations during her mandate was visible, leaving a mark on the work of the Organization and its specialized agencies.
He particularly praised Bosnia and Herzegovina's efforts to contribute to global security and peace through a stronger engagement within UN peacekeeping operations and, in that regard, the increase of our country's military and police contingent.
Ambassador Čolaković thanked Secretary-General Ki-moon for the support he provided both to Bosnia and Herzegovina and to her personally, and expressed hope that the cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United Nations, as well as UN specialized agencies, will continue to develop in all areas.
