Ambassador Cormack visited Maglaj and Doboj

I appeal to everyone to work intensively in the coming period to ensure greater, more efficient and more coordinated support for the agricultural sector in BiH, support for families affected by the floods, and to foster an environment more conducive to businesses in BiH, said US Ambassador to BiH Maureen Cormack at the end of her today's visit to Doboj and Maglaj, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

Together with USAID Director David Barth, the Ambassador met with farmers, businessmen from this region, and the mayors of the municipalities of Maglaj, Doboj and Doboj Jug. The Ambassador particularly emphasized how impressed she was by conversations with young people from these municipalities who shared with her their stories of helping each other during the May floods. At the end of her visit, the Ambassador said that economic development driven by the private sector provides the best way for a country to generate the public and private resources needed to face development challenges.
