Head of the EU Delegation to BiH Johann Sattler today presented the General Hospital „Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš“ with two ventilators worth 79,000 KM, the procurement of which was financed by the European Union as part of assistance to Bosnia and Herzegovina in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
The donated ventilators are manufactured in Germany, brand Drager, and the procurement of this modern equipment was carried out through the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) BiH.
On behalf of patients and staff, Prof. Dr. Ismet Gavrankapetanović, Director of the General Hospital, thanked Ambassador Sattler and the EU for the donation.
- We will install the ventilators in the Covid ward of this health institution, and they will be very useful for us to continue providing quality healthcare services to our patients, of whom there are about 200 currently undergoing hospital treatment - said Prof. Gavrankapetanović, once again calling on citizens to be patient and to respect the recommended protective measures.
Along with Prof. Gavrankapetanović, the handover ceremony today was also attended by anesthesiologists Prim. Dr. Marina Juroš Zovko, Prim. Dr. Elma Vukotić, and Dr. Ranka Erić.
